Cathedral Camp Retreat & Conference Center

A ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River, Cathedral Camp Retreat & Conference Center can accommodate a wide variety of functions, offering flexibility in serving group and individual needs.

The beautiful, natural setting of lake and woodlands contributes to the restful atmosphere and invites peaceful and prayerful reflection. Cathedral Camp Retreat & Conference Center is situated on the shore of scenic Long Pond in East Freetown, Massachusetts, just a few miles from New Bedford, Taunton, and Fall River, MA.

We offer hospitality and simple, but comfortable accommodations to Church, school, and professional organizations, and to anyone desiring a quiet, sacred place to build community, strengthen the bonds of Christian love, and deepen a knowledge of their faith, as well as present professional workshops and seminars or conduct meetings. Both day and overnight groups are welcome.

Retreat Facilities

Assumption Chapel is always open and available for private or communal worship.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House, commonly referred to as the Hotel, accommodates 75 overnight guests, most in private rooms. Towels and bed linens are provided. Small meeting rooms are also available in the Hotel, as well as a small kitchenette.

Villa Maria is a large multi-function building which houses the main dining room, a large auditorium, and several smaller conference rooms. We offer a meal plan with a variety of menus in a cafeteria setting for those who wish to have prepared meals. Groups of 20 to 200 can be accommodated in this building.

The Camp House also provides a large meeting space. The rustic setting of the fireplaced Camp House is ideal for youth retreats and gatherings. The grounds are also available for parish, school, and corporate picnics.
